Shows a rugby player, dressed in the uniform for the 1986 Cavaliers rebel team that toured South Africa, lounging on a sofa with all sorts of material goods around him. Refers to attempts by the New Zealand Rugby Football Union to get players to sign contracts stating they would not accept any material rewards for playing rugby.

Exhibited in 'Guts and Glory' an exhibition of rugby cartoons, organised by the New Zealand Cartoon Archive Trust in association with the Alexander Turnbull Library, National Library of New Zealand, at the National Library Gallery, 15 July - 7 November 1999, and then touring until 2001. Curated by Susan Foster.
