Description

Kaitake Redoubt in 1864. Photographer unidentified. This image was reproduced in `The Colonial New Zealand Wars' by Tim Ryan and Bill Parham, 1986, page 198, with the caption: "The Kaitake Redoubt, Taranaki, built in 1864. Outside the walls stands a signal mast, used to relay messages between military posts."
