Description

Shows Yasser Arafat of the PLO and Menachem Begin, former Prime Minister of Israel, standing in a boxing ring. Their hands both raised in triumph over a well beaten man representing Beirut, who is lying on the ground. The cartoon refers to the ongoing war between the PLO, Israel and Lebanon. Shortly before this cartoon was drawn Israel successfully negotiated a deal to buy weapons cheaply from America.
