Save the date — ComicFest 2024 is celebrating it’s 10-year anniversary on 4 May 2024 and we want you to be with us to make it a great day!

ComicFest is co-hosted by Wellington City Libraries and the National Library of New Zealand. The event runs from 9am to 4:30pm on 4 May at the National Library of New Zealand in Wellington (corner of Molesworth and Aitken Streets).

The action-packed event explores the world of cartoons and comics through a festival of workshops, talks, comic giveaways, live drawing and even a children’s cosplay competition – check out the programme and sign up to attend as many as you like. All free!

Co-curator Sam Orchard, who is also Assistant Curator, Cartoon and Comics at the Alexander Turnbull Library, explains that “with such an incredible line-up of comic artists from across the country, there’s truly something for everyone. We can’t wait to celebrate the rich diversity of comics in Aotearoa”.
