Stress free planning

Our services span the event life-cycle from enquiry through to delivery, and our goal is to provide everything our customers need in-house, including AV, furniture, equipment and expert support.

We make booking a venue easy by being transparent about what we offer, support and charge, open to our customers’ ideas, and by combining our spaces and services into a practical offering that delivers maximum value with no unpleasant surprises.

Booking one of our spaces includes the following:

• setup and pack-down of the hired space(s)
• use of all AV (excludes advanced AV equipment), furniture and equipment available in the hired space
• general support
• AV support (excluding advanced AV support, which comes at an additional charge)
• water carafes and glasses for all guests
• security (comes at an additional charge for after-hours events)

Our spaces have a range of portable and built-in AV equipment that can support a wide range of events. We also have the technical expertise in-house to manage it, reducing the need for our customers to engage external suppliers, which adds additional time and costs.

In addition to our standard in-house AV, we have a range of equipment to satisfy more complex requirements, including:

• video-conferencing
• recording
• livestreaming


Comfortable and practical furniture is fundamental to creating successful events, and we can provide a range of options in-house. In addition to the basics like tables and chairs we can also provide lecterns, flexible staging options, coatracks, whiteboards, flipcharts, plants and more.


We do not provide catering in-house, but we allow our customers to self-cater (including alcohol), engage a caterer of their choice, or work with our preferred caterer. We provide water carafes and glasses for all guests but cutlery, crockery, glassware, table cloths etc. must be hired through a caterer or hire company.


When events occur during Library business hours (9am to 5pm), staff support (including basic AV support) is covered under our venue hire charges. For events that extend outside of this period, there is an additional charge for staff support.


Event security is provided in-house by the Library’s security contractor. The Library’s business as usual security arrangements cover events that occur during Library business hours (9am to 5pm), however outside of this period additional charges apply for security.
