There follows pages of text about the Merchant Seamen and the British Sailors' Society, and the need for a hostel in Wellington for merchant seamen. There is also a listing of old and moden songs to be sung during the concert, with a chorus of 130 voices. Uncle Tom conducted, Mollie Garland produced, Adela Knight was the organist, Ruth Parker the pianist and Hermyn McIntyre was the leader of the orchestra.
