HMS Discovery was one of the ships on Cook's third voyage to the Pacific Ocean. She weighed 300 tons, and was commanded by Captain Clerke. She sailed in 1776, arriving in New Zealand in February 1777, anchoring in Ship Cove. She ended her career as a convict ship at Deptford.
