Sheep station on Lake Wakatipu. First taken up in 1859 by the brothers John and Frank Hamilton, but passed through a number of hands.

Description: Transparency slides of Edmund Gardner Williams' travel in New Zealand in 1959. This sheet of slides includes views of Mounts Sefton and Cook from the Kea Track, the Lindis pass, Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables, the launch 'Moana' at Bobs Cove, Walter Peak and station, the Mount Nicholas Station, distant view of the Bridal Veil Falls on the Routeburn Track, the Queenstown landing stage, and Scott's Memorial in Queenstown. Slides on this sheet are numbered 207-231 with gaps for those removed for lectures on New Zealand. Arrangement: Mr Williams transferred slides (nos. 207-208, 212-213, 219, 221) showing mountain daisies, Mount Cook lily, Mt Cook from the Hermitage, the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu in the evening. These were taken as part of a representative collection on New Zealand for various lectures which he gave when he returned to England. The lecture series are filed in later sequences.
