Backgrounds decision to come to New Zealand in 1952, travelling on the `Captain Cook' (Ship). Describes the cost of travel to New Zealand, Trentham Camp and interview for job with Inland Revenue. Describes how she met Joyce Gentles and their decision to live together which they did for 32 years. Discusses introduction to the Welsh Society and refers to Harold Bacon and Myfanwy Bacon.
