Description: A High Court judge sits in front of a large microscope about to examine a specimen on a slide. The specimen is a fish labelled, 'Labtest deal' and without noticing it the judge declares that something smells fishy. Refers to the overthrowing by the High Court of the diagnostic medical laboratory contract that Labtest won from the Auckland District Health Board. Labtest took the contract away from Medlab who had held it for seventy years. The court ruled that the DHBs' failure to note that Labtest director Dr Tony Bierre had a conflict of interest as an ADHB member was one of the reasons the contract was overturned.
