Description: Scrapbook includes a large number of cuttings of Alex Gurney's cartoons `Bluey and Curley'. These cartoons depict a soldier's life in the Australian Army in the 1940s and 1950s. The second section comprises mainly newspapers and magazines cuttings, cartoons, ephemera, beer labels, Devonport Steam Ferry Co Ltd tickets, greeting cards, original black and white photographs. Topics include animals, women, children and babies. Of interest is a newspaper cutting depicting the 10,000th baby born at the Alexandra Maternity Home, Wellington (no date).
