Pā situated on a cliff above a horseshoe bend on the upper Whanganui River, opposite the Man-of-War Bluff. Occupied in the 19th century.

Description: Two topographic maps of Kirikiriroa on the Wanganui River and the ridge tracks adjacent to the settlement. On the larger map the sites of the store shed and Whare on top of the cliff known as the 'Dreadnought' are marked. Includes a diagram of the elevation of this cliff with rough water. The passage of a swift current, a strong curved rapid and an area of calm deep water in backwash are marked, as well as two creeks entering the Wanganui River, one having a narrow outlet at cliff face. Alongside the river, the Goat Track, Razor Back which includes a footbridge to Gentle Annie and Ridge Track to Heao are named. The site of the first camp on landing is marked and a note states that traces of oil were found at the mouth of the creek. The second map is of named ridge tracks from Kirikiriroa to Heao, also the Main Ridge North which leads to the site of a main camp near Heao and Mangatete.
