Apia Park

"The 16 acres of Apia Park were originally purchased in 1908 by a German businessman, as a venue for horse racing. The first races were held in 1910. When New Zealand took over the administration of Western Samoa from Germany in 1914 the land was confiscated and dedicated to recreation. Today, Apia Park is still used for a range of sporting events, but is mainly a venue for rugby....
