A record of the British aircraft carrier Indefatigable when it visited Wellington in November 1945. New Zealand houses and a very good wedding breakfast laid out in a private interior of the 1890s. There is a photograph of the Clift house in Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, and of a Christmas gathering at a house in Patanga Crescent associated with the Holm family of the Holm shipping line. Description: A two-storied house in a large cleared section, with a bush-clad hill behind it. The home of Mrs Jane Symons (nee Morshead), later Mrs J. F. F. Wright. The house was originally built by Judge Halswell and managed by James Symons, then purchased by Symons, who died in 1851. The same house was also depicted by S. C. Brees in the early 1840s (Residence of his Honour Judge Halswell ... No. 61). It stood on Section 28, Ohiro, approximately the modern site of Brooklyn School in Washington Avenue, Brooklyn.
