Description: Recordings of Geoffrey de Lautour singing arias and songs, mostly accompanied by John Morrison on piano. Some arias are accompanied by orchestra. Place of recording - Place of recording Tracks 12-14 are excerpts from a live performance by the New Zealand Opera Company conducted by John Hopkins in 1959. Track 15 from a Television New Zealand production recorded at the Avalon Television Centre in 1981, with the NZSO, conducted by Vanco Cavdarski. All other tracks recorded at 18 Hildreth St, Karori, Dec 1995, with John Morrison on piano. Other - Tracks with piano recorded when Geoffrey de Lautour was aged 73 and after having had major heart surgery. These are the songs he wanted to be remembered for.
