Te Kooti's War 1868-73

In the New Zealand Wars | ngā pakanga o Aotearoa Te Kooti was a famous Māori leader and founder of the Māori Ringatū religious movement. He was exiled to the Chatham Islands in 1866, but escaped two years later and successfully evaded Govt authorities in the central North Island and East Coast regions. SCIS no. 1966150
