We need to register a new loan coordinator

Your school can have up to 2 loan coordinators. Each loan coordinator must register using a unique registration code.

If you can’t find your school's registration codes or need a new one, you can request a new code.

  • Problems with my order/loan; I need a specific book urgently

My loan order isn't right, what should I do?

If you haven't submitted your whole-school resource loan order yet, sign in to the dashboard to add requests or change anything that's not right.

    Sign in to your dashboard

If the whole-school loan period has ended, check your school's dashboard for the dates of the next loan order period.

I've made a mistake. Can I cancel my order and start again?

If you've realised there's a mistake in your loan order after it's been submitted, get in touch with us to find out how we can help — phone 0800 LIB LINE (0800 542 5463).

We got fewer books than we expected

We do our best to maximise the number of books we send you, but sometimes you may not receive as many as you expected.

This could be because there's high demand for certain topics, or if there are few books suitable for the reading age or year level you need. For specific title requests, all borrowing copies may already be on loan, or won't be available within the time you need it.

How can I get a book that's needed urgently?

You can request a specific title any time.

  • Renewals and returning books

We've finished with some books, should I send them back?

Yes. You can send books back to us as soon as you've finished using them. This will help us make popular books available to other schools.

Can I keep some books past their due date?

As a national service, we need to ensure that all schools have equal access to books in the Schools Lending Collection. We discourage renewals, especially if the books are in high demand. However, if you need to keep your books beyond the due date, please contact us to discuss:

Loans by secondary and composite schools from the Wellington, Overseas Non-fiction Collection and the Wellington, New Zealand Pacific Collection can be renewed for 2 further periods of 4 weeks. To renew a loan:
