Exhibition files for each exhibition held in the gallery from 1968 to 2015. Files contain correspondence with the exhibiting artists and with clients; catalogues; ephemera; photographs of exhibitions, artworks, and artists; publicity relating to the exhibition; transport and shipping for the works purchased; correspondence with institutions and private individuals marketing the works.

Some files contain later correspondence regarding the sales of particular works, or other research into the artist.

There is no file 46. The exhibition register notes that McLeavey "presumes" that there was a "stock show during this period".

There is no file 153. There is a note in the exhibition register that reads "To Sydney Benaille [Biennale]??? Yes".

There is no file 178. There is a note in the exhibition register that reads "Stock", meaning there was a show of items in stock in this time period.

There are no exhibition files corresponding to the exhibition register entries 548 and 561 to 584.

Date range for the individual files represents the date range of the papers on the files; the dates of the exhibitions are noted in the scope and contents.

Arrangement: Files are arranged in chronological order of shows, in envelopes, which are labelled with the names of the artists and the dates of the shows. Most of the files hold papers fastened with split pins, but some pins have been removed and in some of these the papers are disordered. Files have been put into archival housing by the Library and the original envelopes have been retained.
