The inside spread asserts that "New Zealand is in trouble. Our country is drifting into deeper, dangerous waters". It shows a central image of a lifebelt inscribed with the words of five areas where the National Party promises to make improvements: Opportunity, Savings & Investment, Jobs, Growth, and Security.
