Cartoon by Ronald Edwin Kennedy depicts Dennis Brutus, President of the South African Non-Racial Olympic Committee, as a referee with a whistle and a notebook. He looks over at a large New Zealand rugby player standing next to him, holding a rugby ball labelled "N.Z.'s reputation" and looking ashamed. Signed "Ronken.". Refers to Dennis Brutus being critical of New Zealand rugby and sporting contacts with apartheid-era South Africa. Brutus visited Auckland in 1969.
