Transparencies of country churches in New Zealand, taken by Geoffrey Thornton or Jocelyn Thornton. Each slide mount is annotated with the name and the location of the church. Dates and photographer name are sometimes annotated.

Churches and locations annotated on the slide mounts include St George's Anglican Church at Motupiko, East Takaka Church, St Michael's Anglican Church at Waimea West, St Peter's Anglican Church at Teddington, St David's Memorial Church at Cave, St Paul's Anglican Church at Glenmark, St Oswald's Anglican Church at Wharanui, Presbyterian Church at Bannockburn, St Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church at Garston, St Luke's Anglican Church at Little Akaloa, St John's in the Wilderness at Koromiko, Norwegian Church at Mauriceville North, Church of the Good Shepherd at Tinui, St John's Anglican Church at Hira, private chapel at Mangakuri, and Christ Church at Pukehou.

Arrangement: Transparencies were arranged in five small plastic slide cases, each holding approximately 30- 40 mounted transparencies, and each labelled "Country Churches". There was no apparent order.

Processing information: Slides have been removed from container and put into archival pockets, following the original order, from left to right and top to bottom.
