Description

All scenes were taken in the vegetable garden in the backyard of a Māori couple, in Soputh Karori, Wellington. The woman is seen working in the garden, beside a high trellis fence (frames 1 to 5, and 9 to 12) with her small daughter sitting on the ground beside her. The man is seen bending over, collecting vegetables and putting them into a sack (frames 6 to 8) with the back of their house visible behind him. Among the plants, rhubarb leaves are visible. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
