Frame one shows a corner of a large workshop at the Māori Arts and Crafts Institute at Whakarewarewa with two young Māori men working on wood carvings. Completed carvings are seen on a long table, and there is a walkway on a higher level with a group of men and women visitors looking down over the men at work. Frames 2 to 12 show Māori families picniking in a park (probably Tongariro North Domain) where there are swings, a slide, and picnic tables. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified.
