- Description
All scenes taken at Te Ao Mārama, at Te Ao Hou marae on the Whanganui River. A group of Māori are seen looking over a barbed wire fence (frame 2), with other images showing people up on a grassy slope, possibly holding song sheets for a service. Several older women are seen in close shots, with fields and a hill behind, and people walking away on a winding path in the background. A woman wearing a large sunhat (frames 7, 8 & 10) has been identified as Alice Poutini (Tume); a small boy with her as Paora Poutini, and a woman with a patterned top and scarf as Ngati Nikorima (frames 9 & 12), and a man with a patterned singlet as TeKanohi Wallace (Nohi). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
