- Description
Wet day at Oriental Bay with crowds gathering to watch for the arrival of Father Christmas by parachute. Frame one shows people with umbrellas heading towards the beach. Frame two shows a small boat in the harbour towing a parachute. A young woman and a man are gazing upwards in frames 3 and 4; and a crowd of people including numbers of children surround Father Christmas (wearing a helmet) on the beach. It appears Father Christmas has thrown sweets for a lolly scramble. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
