Images show scenes from the annual coronation hui held at Turangawaewae Marae, Ngaruawahia, taken in 1963 by Ans Westra. Unless otherwise stated all persons are unidentified.
Images show scenes of people attending the annual coronation celebrations and include, children in traditional dress walking on to the marae, a child sitting with two kuia. Frames 9 to 11 show kuia Rēhara Maki with her mokopuna in frames 9 and 11. Name given at a later date by an unidentified attendee at the hui. Frame 8 shows Canon Wi Huata.
