Images show scenes from the annual coronation hui held at Turangawaewae Marae, Ngaruawahia, taken in 1963 by Ans Westra. Two people have been named at a later date by an unidentified attendee at the hui. They are: Thomas Chase and Lorraine Emerson (frames 6 to 8). Unless otherwise stated all persons are unidentified.
Images show scenes of people attending the annual coronation celebrations and include, a koroua standing outside, he wears sunglasses, a hat and is smoking, a young couple sitting outside and a group of youths, fashionably dressed.
