Arrangement: Some images have been removed from original enclosures for conservation or access purposes. Where possible, the original arrangement has been duplicated in the new enclosure, with any text annotations transferred. Where the duplication of the original arrangement was not ideal (for instance when two negatives were in one sleeve) the original arrangement has been indicated through annotations by Library staff. Some examples of inadequate original enclosures have been retained within the album (in the first instance of rehousing when there were multiple examples). Markers and flags that rely on adhesive have been future proofed using notations on enclosures using black marker pen. Where original enclosures have frayed at the edges, exposing the negative or transparency underneath, A4 plastic sleeves have been used to protect the item while retaining the original arrangement and accompanying information.
