Two drawings on one page. At the top, a half length portrait of 'noble chief of Kaitaia' shows a standing man, draped in a fine flax cloak. He has moko. At the bottom, a young boy, 'Po Nihu', wrapped in a blanket, a gourd behind him. There is an additional study of his left foot, upper right.
