A pamphlet critical of the National government, shows an arrangement of text, a poem beginning "How long, O Lord ... so deep and broad / Shall evil triumph here?" The verso shows a chart of election figures for each of 50 electorates in the 1949 election, with emphasis on a column showing the decrease in votes for National in many electorates. It states that "the government should resign now".
