Fletcher, David 1952- : "I find with election promises it's best not to put anything down on paper!" The Politician. 5 September 2014
- Dominion post (Newspaper)
'The Politician' cartoon strip. Max tells The Politician that he should know the details of his taxation policy and read through it carefully. The Politician replies the he cannot, because he does not care to have election promises down on paper.
Both the leader of the Labour Party, David Cunliffe, and the Prime Minister had made promises over a Capital Gains Tax and future tax reductions, respectively. Both promises appeared to be vague.
