Letter from Robert Torrens to Edward Jerningham Wakefield regarding an unnamed contact of Wakefield's in Wellington. Torrens owned land in the Hutt at this time and was looking for a person to act as his agent in the possible sale of this land. Torrens goes on to discuss the situation with the renters on his land and his view that Wellington should become the capital city of New Zealand. Torrens wished to sell his land once the price reached 2,500 English pounds. The letter was written at the Reform Club.
