Description

The Reporter asks The Politician why parliament 'threw out his 'strike-breaker' bill. The Politician replies that 'they said it would cause industrial unrest - which would have been the ideal opportunity to try it out!!!'

On 14 November 2013 a bill, in the name of the National Party's Jami-Lee Ross, which would have repealed part of the Employment Relations Act preventing the use of volunteers, contractors or casual employees during a strike or lockout, was defeated at its first reading.
