Collection comprises letters with typed transcripts of them from Sister Anges Mary Buckley to her family written while serving with the New Zealand Army Nursing Service in Egypt and Italy during World War Two. Also includes scroll commemorating Buckley's military service, booklet entitled `The Untold story', a diary and birthday book, two published volumes and a folder comprising photocopies of Buckley's war record.

Description: In March 1941 Agnes Buckley was stationed at the Papakura Military Camp's hospital. In June she left New Zealand with the 6th Reinforcements for the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force. On her arrival in Egypt she was worked at No 1 New Zealand General Hospital, Helwan. The letters describe her experiences during this period. Also contains a postcard sent to her mother, 10 Sep 1941.
