- Description
Shows a satirical Christmas perfume advertisement for VX, a toxic nerve agent. Syria has the biggest stockpiles of the nerve gasses VX and Sarin, as well as mustard gas, in the Middle East. Bashar Boutiques refers to Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, who waged a vicious military campaign against his opponents in a 20-month-long civil war that has already claimed upwards of 30,000 lives. Notes from the artist: 'Re the chemical weapons held by Bashar al-Assad. One of them, VX is THE most toxic to have ever been synthesised'.
