Confirmed that an International Chamber Music festival would be held in Napier and Auckland next year. A CD of the festival being recorded in Napier Cathedral. Eastern Institute of Technology announced that New Zealand tenor Patrick Power had been appointed as its principal singing tutor. Artistic director will be Uwe Groddwho has been nominated for a Cannes 2000 Classical Award for his recording with the Nikolaus Esterhazy Sinfonia in Budapest.
