Experimental area at Waiouru, located between Moawhango River and Waiouru-Tokaanu Road, north of where the Makahikatoa Stream joins the Whangehu River, showing level or sloping land, degree of erosion and sites of plantings, mainly of pine trees around the perimeter.
See DNZB v.5. Douglas Campbell was a teacher and soil conservator; was employed on the first Soil Conservation Council and involved in Rivers Control and the Ministry of Agriculture. His films are held by the NZ Film Archive
