- The cartoon shows the Beehive building as a teapot. The handle, which is being held by a man with National Party cufflinks, has just broken. It refers to the "teacups" meeting between Prime Minister John Key and Epsom ACT Party candidate John Banks during the 2011 election campaign. The meeting was a signal for National voters to give their electorate votes to Banks. The breaking handle refers to controversy about whether John Banks was honest in his candidate returns for his campaign for the Auckland mayoralty.
