Description

Shows the prow of a boat labelled `ACT', sinking and almost completely underwater. The Leader of ACT, Don Brash, grasping a paddle, is almost submerged as well. He is saying `Rumours of our sinking are premature '. The cartoon, drawn shortly before the 2011 General Election, refers to Don Brash's optimistic claims in the face of the desperate straits to which the ACT Party has been reduced, with a very low poll rating and dependant on the success of their candidate in the Epsom electorate to have any representation in Parliament.
