Description

Entranceway and drive leading to grand hacienda-style deco house at end. Extensive grounds including tennis court and lawns. Conspicuous ivy-clad cabbage tree beside driveway. At front edge man in trilby hat (probably R.P. Moore) holds down bushes that are obstructing the vista. Lots of shrubs and flowers in garden. Water tank close to house. Patios aoround house have open-beamed "roofs" with plants growing through them. House built for Mason Chambers, completed in 1916. Designed by William Henry Gummer. Photograph taken by R P Moore.
