Hydrographic map with soundings, of Port Nicholson, Wellington Harbour (Whanganui a Tara), showing the shoreline shape, suitable anchorages, details of fathom depths, outlying rocks; pa sites at Palmer Head, kainga in Worser Bay; a fresh water lake and pond in present day Miramar; fresh water supply in Evan's Bay, Petone and Ngauranga; Somes Island and a large flax marsh at Petone. Indicates latitude and longitude.
(From catalogue card) Probably one of the copies by Barnett, one of which was presented to the Harbour Master at Sydney, J. Nicholson, by Barnett, who was Captain of the `Lambton'.
