- Samuel Marsden standing on shore, his hand extended to a group of Maori with the palisades of a pa beyond them to the left. Behind Marsden is a group of four European men wearing top hats. A sailor in a rowboat is at the water's edge, the sails of a large yacht are beyond the group, there are canoes in the background and the mission ship in the background. The landing was at Rangihoua Bay New Zealand and Pacific Book Collection, NZP/283 The same image also appeared as an illustration in The picturesque atlas of Australasia, (1886) Vol 3, p. 533 Quantity: 1 b&w art print(s).
