Original ink cartoons prepared for the daily editorial cartoon in the Evening Post and a weekly cartoon for the Sports Post until the cartoonist's retirement
Arrangement: Arrangement is chronological except for 1970, which is at the end of the sequence in B-137, along with 25 cartoons from 1961 to 1968 at B-137-001/025.
Quantity: 4101 drawing(s). 1000 newsclippings (approximately).
Physical Description: Ink & pencil on cartridge paper sizes vary, mostly approximately A3 size; also newspapers containing reproductions of cartoons.
Transfers: Newspapers donated with the collection are housed in B-138. They include issues of the N. Z. E. F. times from 1941-1945 and many later newspapers containing published cartoons by Nevile Lodge.
Processing information: The collection is scanty until the 1960s; from 1962 to 1988 it is close to complete, apart from those given away or possibly lost by Lodge and a number taken by relatives as mementos before the collection came to the Library.
