- Date
- 2008
- Reference
- DCDL-0007885
- Description
Sarah Palin, the running mate of Republican presidential candidate John McCain, stands on a ladder in the centre of North America (intended to be Alaska) and looks through a pair of binoculars across to Russia where she sees grand building topped with onion spires. Refers to the extraordinary suggestion that because Sarah Palin is from Alaska and Alaska is next to Russia she 'understands' Russia and therefore can be said to have foreign affairs experience.
