Portrait of a Maori woman and her [daughter?] identified as Rawinia and Ripipete. The mother is wearing a korowai (tag cloak) and a huia feather in her hair. The young girl is wearing a feather cloak (kahu kiwi), eardrops and a huia feather in her hair. Photograph taken by William Henry Thomas Partington, circa 1900, probably at Wanganui.
