Arrangement: Arranged into series following those set up by the Monthly Meeting.
From 1840 Wellington Quakers had held their meetings in private houses, but in 1901 it was decided to set up a more formal structure, with meetings in a public hall and in 1902 a formal Wellington Monthly Meeting was established. In 1903 the Continental Committee of the London Yearly Meeting, which had looked after New Zealand affairs, gave place to the Australasian Committee and regional organization was consolidated into the Wellington, Hawke's Bay and Taranaki Six Month Meeting. In 1912 Wellington and Hawke's Bay formed a separate Monthly Meeting.
In 1966 Hawke's Bay was transferred to the Manawatu Monthly Meeting. Wellington Meetings have been set up in Lower Hutt, Tawa and Waikanae.
