This is followed by materials organised into nine series. Additional notes were filed into the original collection by Margaret Alington in July 1997.
In 1974 Margaret Alington, with members of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust began the project of copying inscriptions of memorials removed from the Bolton Street Cemetery for the Wellington Urban Motorway. The Friends of Bolton Street Cemetery (formed 1977) assisted in the transcriptions and by Mar 1979 the memorials were reinstated in the Bolton Street Memorial Park.
