Description

The cartoon has three images: the All Blacks being pushed back by the Griquas, a leading South African provincial team; the All Blacks pushing back; two South African player lying down, above them the score reads, record loss 27 - 3. Refers to the All Black match against the provincial side of Kimberley during the 1970 tour of South Africa.

The reference to cutting and polishing and hard stone is to Kimberley's diamond mining industry.
