An English soldier in the trenches in France, with a battle ranging beyond him. He has just received a flesh wound in the buttocks and is looking delighted because he can now be invalided out to England. An original drawing for the publication Shell shocks (London, Jarrold, 1916) Other Titles - Buckshee Inscriptions: Recto - bottom right - W F Bell France.
