Swimmer Anna Taylor being pulled out of the water unconcious by her trainer. Photographed by Evening Post staff photographer Melanie Burford on the 14th of February 1999.
During her attempt to swim Cook Straight, Taylor spent twelve hours battling the tides. When she was finally caught in a rip she was approximatly 500 metres from finishing.
